I’m leaving off the end of the quote as it’s very spoiler-y! But honestly, my heart when I read this full quote. It’s so moving. The love between Fred and Alice is slow burn with a great payoff at the end. Both of the book boyfriends (Fred and Sven) in Giver of Stars are swoon-worthy. And men, not boys! And perfect for Valentine’s Day reading!
